I heard that there is a time limit for how long DS's can smoke you. Is that true? BTW when I went through, it seemed like they would always stop after about the same amount of time.
I was a XO of a Basic training Company for over 2 years in the early 80's. After Infantry Officer Basic at Benning I thought that regular basic was a joke. I have recently visited Jackson and Leonardwood and can attest that bisoc is now little more than a summer camp. Only thing that has actually improved basic is the addition of combatives and the ellimination of the old hand to hand BS. With lots of overwieght, out of shape and poorly trained soldiers leaving boot its a wonder we can do anything on the battlefield.
