RE: http://www.military.com/opinio...15202,192167,00.html
I am a retired US Air Force NCO over 65 years old and I am definetely against the government to take monies from my Social Security Benefits each month which is now $96 plus. I paid into Medicare from my working salary since1983 until I retired. Now, why do I have to pay for it after Retirement? No one can use it until their 65 years old. If I need medical care from a Military Treatment Facility, I must have Medicare Part B. This is unfair for Military Retirees who should have this Medicare Part B or Medicare Part D provided by the governmnet without deduction from their Social Security Pensions. I've been addressing this very important matter to my congressman and state senators without any proposal to the congress or senate. I would like to see the Diabaled American Veterans and Military organization bring this for an amendment to congress and the senate. Thank You Mohammad Abdul-Aziz Retired Technical Sgt, USAF |

Medicare became a nightmare for me when I reached age 65 and was required to enroll by my group insurance company. I had group insurance from my employer, as well as group insurance from my Ohio PERS retirement. For years there was never a deductable, that ended when Medicare kicked in and became primary and my insurance changed wherein I am now required to meet deductables by law!
Since Ohio AMVETS is an under 20 person group, I was required to enroll in Medicare Part B, pay extra premium for less coverage. I will cast no stones. Another proud member, Derelict Veterans Group. “OF MUNERIS UT TOTUS” |
