Richard M. I too put money in VEAP and then took it out. For those on active duty at the time the conversion went like this...IF you had money in VEAP you could convert and pay I believe at the time was $1500. Then they came back and said those that had no money in VEAP, even though you had contributed, but withdrew all your money, you could buy the GI Bill for $2700.
