RE: http://www.military.com/opinio...15202,201080,00.html
This would be a step in the right direction, if passed. I don't see widows mentioned, however. I am now 50 years old and have been widowed and receiving DIC for ten years. Are widows who have not remarried a part of this legislation? |

This is a great question and I have more to that to add, what about the one's that have 20 yrs or more and have been rated 30% and still trying to get the rest of there disability (as in waiting) and that were tried to be forced out of the military and stayed in as long as they were allowed before being forced out? What about us? And who's to say that you were acurately rated as to your initial disability and that they did not put in your records the full extent of your injury that was service connected? I am 68 yrs old and was just granted my VA disability in 2002, they did not bother to tell me I was even eligible to receive any benefit's, my wife just happend to be reading this in an article, why is this happening to us Vet's? Is this how the government re-pay's you for putting your life on the line whenyou signed that blank check?
