I think it interesting how we fight for our country and in turn when our health has become at risk we have to fight for our rights. It seems that after you honorably left the military it is the same as leaving prison, you take with you what you came with. My husband is experiencing symptoms of parkinsons, and or neruological issues. He was in direct contact with agent orange as he had to walk, crawl, etc through the sprayed areas. He also had to load and unload 55 gallong drumbs, but was not privy to what was in the drumbs. He also drove an ambulance for the army he has been diagnosed with hep-c, as things were not as sterile back then as they are now he was exposed as I am sure you know a lot of blood. It saddens my heart, no disrespect to those who lost their lives or have lost limbs. My husband is suffering and there are NO benifits for him as a vietnam veteran. He has night terrors, I have to wake him up because of the screaming. I took him to the vietnam wall and at that time the sniper was had not been caught. EVERY time we went outside or were near a window, he hugged the walls, and was terrified. There are no benefits for our children to go further their education. If you were a vietnam vet and by the grace of god, made it out alive and in one piece, you were just kicked to the curb. My husband fought for this country, risked his life, and is now fighting for his life because he WAS exposed to agent orange, and the only explanation for the hep c is driving the ambulance. What is the government doing for him, NOTHING. Although the vets admin was very nice and empathetic they are trying to help me and I appreciate it but I am frightened for my husband and due to the hep c he is labled uninsurable, period. Thanks for listening, and if you have any advice would be appreciated.

A very scared and worried spouse.

Thank you.
