As a former Drill Sergeant, I can confirm that this article is right on target. Additionally, your attitude will go a long way in keeping your DS off of your case. Drill Sergeants are there to make soldiers of you, not be your friend, and consequently, they have the awesome task of teaching you how to survive ane do the same for your buddies. Getting on the spot correction is for your own good. Head down, eyes up! Hooah!
Great idea and a great subject. I wish I had had something like this before I went to Basic Training. If I had, I wouldn't have had half of the mental troubles I had while I was down there and would have felt more at ease with how things went.
