Could anyone please give a brief overview what the new LE/S rate that is suppose to take effect in a few years is all about?
I am considering joining the Coast Guard Reserve and I am interested in trying to obtain a position in port security or as an investigator however if the LE/S rate is worth wild then I would like to know what other options are being introduced in the future.

According to what has been published so far, the Reserve Port Security Specialist rating will roll over into the LE/S rating sometime within the next two years.

The Active Duty side of the house will also convert various billets to LE/S billets.

Senior LE/S(s) is/are supposed to be announced later this year.

I've talked to you about the local IV billets.
