Ha Don, everyone wants to be an MIA now! I just try to give my fellow Coast Guardsmen a heads-up since these announcements are usually few and far between and wouldn't be obvious otherwise.

The announcement actually closed the beginning of July. It would be a good gig for those retired USCG Alaskan homesteaders. Very field/patrol oriented job; most of the offices up there have 30+' patrol vessels that the enforcement officers run. Only downside is they are not LE retirement covered and no promotion potential beyond GS-11 equivalent.
