How do you guys feel about these things? I'm trying to get the keyboards for my unit in an attempt to have my crew more comfortable with actually using these things.

E-CG, either you move with it or you're left behind. Frown

The stations and 87's I work with use them. It seems like half the time either the PDA or printer isn't working. I don't think it is any faster than filling out the 4100, but being able to download it into MISLE is a bonus. I do think it captures more info though. The "receipt" is better and the downloaded MISLE info is a lot better than a bad copy of the 4100, which never seemed to copy too well.

We don't have PDAs so a 15 minute boarding takes me around an hour to input into our database.

PDA's are nice. If you practice and maintain the charge. The keyboards sucked, stopped using them. But overall the PDA is nice addition to the boarding team IMO.

My guys complain that it takes too long for them to put in the information. In turn, I bought to foldable keyboards. Still haven't started using them (not too much traffic this season).

I like Mobile Missle because supposedly you can run names. That would be worth it to me.

For a first attempt at E-Cg it's not too bad. I would like to see us switch to something a little larger like the tablets that UPS or FED-Ex use. The PDA is a little small and the data can get dumped.

I guess a lot of the cutters are getting th Tough Books. I would love to have that mounted someplace on the 25'. Maybe by a hinged arm on the navigator side.
