I am looking hard at the USCG as a career. I have an undergrad degree in criminal justice and a masters in public admin. I am very interested in the law enforcement side of things and would appreciate any information on how to target that career path. I recently took the ASVAB and await an appointment for my physical. Do I have any choice in OCS on my MOS, or what steps can I take to ensure I find a good fit? From reading the job descriptions available, being a boarding officer sounds very interesting, but the more i read the more I learn about other groups such as LEDETs and law enforcement billets. Is there a good source to outline the differences and skills required for these career paths?
