The trigger is horrible, but please no flame wars. It is a trigger designed to keep nervous operators from blowing holes in sailboats, thighs, ankles, and other useful equipment. If you shoot a gun with a 3-4 lb. trigger, you understand quickly how hard this trigger pull is. But, having said that, it is a very high quality piece. I was impressed, albeit not enough to keep it. Just sold on 1911's I guess. Would make a great wife gun, but don't have one of those either, so it had to go. Night sights were also nice on this gun.
I was tired that day. I had run a few hundred test rounds through that RRA laying in the background and 100 through the Sig. I had just put it together and the neighbors were looking at me funny taking pics of guns in the driveway. First thing I noticed too when I looked at the photo. Plus I am usually greasy, so I figured it's just a signature. Try to look through it and see the art.
Also, sorry, it is a DAK not DK. Double action Kellison for those studying for the service wide.
Ummm. Relax. It was a joke. Maybe dry, but a joke none the less. That question will not be on the service wide. I hope. I am about to take my first one, I'll let you know. Send me your t-shirt size and I'll hook you up for the correction. IBO

if anyone is intrested in a sig with lazer etching , you have to get more than 10 people intrested and they will hook you up the price for 10 or more was 650 a piece but that was 2 years ago. I forgot the name of the reserve gunner that works at sig along with a couple of other reserve coasties. But
It's gone up. It's about $695 with three mags and night sights. Just a guess though And I believe that you have to get more than 10 folks on board. The individuals pay Sig directly through a secret web link. There were probably 35 or so on this run. Don't have the exact number.
My personal carry weapon. PX4 .40S&W. A little bulky inside the waistband, but a good shooting pistol all around.
What is the trigger reach compared to the Sig P229? I have small hands.
I really don't like my KelTec P11, and my M9 is too big to carry everyday. Someday I will get rid of the piece of c r a p P11 and get another carry gun. But until then, I make due and now winter is almost upon us, I might just start carrying the M9 again.
JerryG: That AMT backup is cool. Not a common gun at the shows around here. If you saw that shootout in the pool hall on Fox News recently, sites never came into play. For up close work, six rounds of .45 talks business, sites are optional.
I need to get the new Caspian blued. Or coated, or painted, or dipped or.....
I bought the AMT in 1995, the year Arcadia Machine & Tool went out of business. The lock, stock & barrel of guns and parts was bought by another conglomerate who also went out of business.
Fast forward to 2002, when my little DAO Break-up...er...BACK-UP broke (the barrel split from muzzle to chamber) and became a stainless paperweight. No place to get a replacement barrel. I figure not more than 300 rounds of factory 230 gr. ball ammo through it.
Fast forward again to 2006 and I found out High Standard is now remanufacturing many of the AMT line, and with some cold hard cash, I got another barrel for it.
I just put a few rounds downrange through the new barrel last week. It's holding, so far (IT BETTER!).
My paperweight is back in working order (knock on wood).
