If i go IS will i be able to join a ledet, with at least a good year of BTM under my belt?

Depends on your interest in LE, but why go IS? Sit back and wait for a better chance to get into LE. Maybe you should ask a few more questions prior to selecting a rating. Including asking the IS detailer if there are IS billets at a Taclet.

Try posting this on the IS forum. I doubt there will be any IS's at LEDETs-- at least, those who deploy.
