is it because there are so few troops even now with a increase that they put sush small units aka undermaned platoons and companys in small outposts like in the nbc show tip of spear ,instead of going in full bore with a battalion or brigrade.

The answer has nothing to do with "liberal media" or OPSEC. It's common sense. There are a finite number of soldiers in any theater. Some installations will be smaller than others. Any reasonably intelligent opponent will attack the installations with fewer rather than greater numbers of troops.
It's analogous to why you read more frequently about little old ladies getting mugged and not so often about healthy, strong, 20 year olds getting mugged. |

Read the NRA's "American Rifleman" Magazine's "The Armed Citizen" column about little old ladies who blow the keisters off their assailants. But, then again, you won't find articles about that in the mainstream media...  Carpe Debier: Seize a Lager! |
