I am going to Ft. Sill for AIT and my orders say that i leave for Sill on the 2nd of april but my AIT doesnt start until the 14th...Do i start getting paid on the 2nd? or 14?

You are on the "payroll" when the orders start, the 2nd.

As was already stated, your "clock" starts the day you swear-in and ship for BCT.

It may take up to 6 or 8 weeks for you to actually see any pay, as DFAS has to put your info into "The System" and then once your info in input, you *should* be paid on the following payday.

Unless you have dependents at home, don't worry about money while at BCT-- you will be far too busy to worry about it, and you won't have a whole lot of opportunities to spend money either. The only exception may be if you pay someone (CASH) for them to take your Fire-guard or CQ shift.
