Ft. Campbell has a gun store in the main PX. Was there a couple weeks ago.

The Camp Allen Marine Corps Exchange aboard Naval Station Norfolk sells them.

So, you're stationed there? I'm about 35 min. away. Funny thing, being from here,and as hard as I tried to get to Campbell during 12 yrs. of AD, branch just was not having it.

Fort Polk's new PX also now has a firearm section in the sporting goods area. Only bad news is that it is ON FORT POLK

why the interest in buying guns through aafes? Are the deals that good? I spent the majority of my nearly 24 years at Bragg... no guns at aafes... too many nuts here.

However, there are always great options off post and the 3-4 big dealers around here will haggle price if you know what the hell you are talking about.

Another option? subscribe to the gun list or shotgun news. buy direct from wholesalers. A local shop will charge you a fee to do an FFL transfer but you can get some sweet deals.

I think Obama mania swept America and drove guns up since 2008. I admit I am guilty but now I have more than enough and usually look to trade before buying more

Nah I am partial to Ed's out in SoPines. when I was a rookie back in he 80s I used fall for Jim's but they are a bunch of scam artists.

Not sure now but Ed's used to do 25$ FFL transfers.

Guns Plus in Spring Lake is where a lot of the young uns go... prices are kinda rough though

According to the recent Exchange paper dated Nov 24-28, and be advised Ft Hood has two exchanges and only one sells the guns. In addition, you should have your "ORDERS" assigning you to the base, a valid State DL and you CAC/Retirement ID cards. In addition, you should all be familiar with the base requirements for gun safety and off-base laws of the sate or states you are traveling in! I have taken a concealed handgun course and am certified by the state of Texas, and all Join signatory states recognizing the authority to cary a concealed weapon. Since that frenzy drove down the availabilty and up the costs of firearms and ammo, I wonder if now that people ahve settled down there will be an increase in low priced "hardly used" guns and bulk ammo?
