Hi everyone, I've been looking around online to find a site (aafes or otherwise) that lists which bases have gun sales. I know Riley and Leavenworth both have gun sales in the PX. Does anyone know of other posts that do as well? Thanks, CPT SM

Elmendorf AFB does. It's a combined BX/PX for Elmendorf and Ft. Richardson.

The Rod & Gun Clubs in Germany sold firearms. I can't remember if the one at Ft Bragg did or not.(over 30 years ago)

I heard that Campbell does, but I haven't confirmed personally.

The old Rod and Gun Clubs, I haven't thought about those in years. I bought my first CD (why the hell I bought it there I don't know) at the Rod and Gun Club in Bitburg.

I used to eat lunch when I could at the Rod and Gun at Benning. A big bowl of beans , chopped onions and corn fritters was 25 cents. An endless glass of iced tea was a dime more. Plus plenty of pool tables that allowed time to get a few games in before having to be back to work. Cold beer too. I remember you had to be a member to hunt and fish on post and to buy a weapon.

Yeah, I was wondering about Campbell specifically. I'm PCS'ing there and will arrive on Saturday, so I guess I'll find out soon enough. I'm currently TDY enroute, so the Leavenworth PX Gun counter won't sell unless you've got orders assigning you within Kansas. Should have done this before leaving Riley. Lookin at the S&W MP .45. I hear good things about it and its affordable. Finally, for those unaware, this is a "new" service AAFES is now providing within the PX. Their dealer/provider is RSR Group, so what they have, the PX says they can get. Thanks guys...

You may want to check with the outdoor rec people. I know the one at Ft Lewis sold firearms.

[QUOTE]Originally posted by CPT_SSM: Lookin at the S&W MP .45. I hear good things about it and its affordable. QUOTE] Almost all of my Pistols and Revolvers are in .45 caliber of some type. But as for the newer technology composite autoloaders, I’m impressed by the S&W MP. I was looking at one in .40 S&W recently. I have so much “acquired” .40 S&W on hand now I need to have something to shoot it through. My #1 ready to go .45 Auto is my ParaOrd-double stack LDA. But for ease of concealed carry the S&W is great. I love the double action type trigger for every shot. With a Laser grip sight for low level “encounters” it is a good choice. If you get one as you stated, get a Dillon 550B and shoot it A LOT!!! XXX...http://www.dillonprecision.com/...XXX

The PX here at Ft. Drum just started selling firearms in the last year or so. I've been drooling over an M-16A4 chambered in .450 they have for sale there. They also have a nice SIG 556 for sale too... Matt SPC, AV US Army OCS Selectee Class 303-10

Fort Hood, Texas. Warrior Way PX sales quiet a few fire arms. I bought a Beretta 92F back at Hood almost a year ago. However due to the recent shootings, I dunno how strict they will be on em. They walked mine out to me to the doors, and said have a good one

Sir , you will find no shortage of gun shops around Campbell. I bought my first shot gun there when I was 17. all I did was show my military I.D. and I walked out of the store with it that day.

I picked up a couple of nice pieces by buying pawn shop tickets from drunkards to broke to bail them out.

Coast Guard Exchange in Kodiak Alaska has them. Pretty good stuff on the cheap there... big exchange for CG. Nothing else to do on the island but hunt and fish.
