TA-50 / OCIE inventory list with pictures?Go ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()

Does anyone know where I can find a list of common OCIE with LINs, NSNs, and most importantly PICTURES? I've been able to find lists with literally thousands of CIF-issued items and even prices, but I can't any with pictures. The reason is, when we do inventories, the nomenclature on our clothing records is so cryptic that we invariably come across items that we have to try to figure out what exactly they are. Little pictures would make the process much easier. I understand that OCIE varies from unit to unit, sometimes even person to person, but just a list of common stuff would be great. Thanks!

It seems years ago there were catalogs that had pictures next to the items name and numbers. The Arms Room also had them for weapons parts and the PLL clerk had them in the motor pool.

FEDLOG has pictures of some of the items in its listings. Matt BOC, OCS US Army

There used to be a PDF file that had pictures of everything. I remember finding it on AKO after going to the "My Clothing" page after getting my CIF at Schofield a year or two back. Can't find it now, but I know it's out there.

I got the list at work. You BN/BDE S-4 has it. They have to have it now that we only have to turn in SOME items at PCS times and take the rest with us.

Just in case you didn't get what you were looking for, here is a link that has a PDF with pictures. Not everything is list, but about 90% is there. << LINK REMOVED by ERICHG2>>This message has been edited. Last edited by: ErichG2,

You have to remove this link - You can only post Hotlinks on the Forums that are listed here: http://www.military.com/benefi...teran-associations#m and I could be wrong but I didn't find this web site there listed as an approved web site. The Website is privately owned and was downloading spyware to a users PC via specific links. I removed the link above.

For the OP, be aware that a lot of equipment breaks down into separate bits. Oftentimes the item you can't find will turn out to be part of a larger item (like the shoulder straps on a ruck).

When I was clearing recently I found that if you google the name of an item found on your OCIE record it will usually come up and have a photo. Just go to your AKO, click the my clothing tab under self-service and print your OCIE record. That's the easiest way I found to tackle that one.

Great link! If it's a TOS violation, please let this one slide.

I don't understand how you can be issued TA-50 and not know or remember what the item is without seeing a picture. Since it is Army related (and thats kind of a stretch since it is a personal website), we'll let the link stand.

When was the last time you went to CIF? The average joe here has a 6 page $9K CIF record.

1987 and it was approx 3 pages, the pages were longer then 11 inches though so probably 4. Anyways, the nomenclature is usually printed on the label sewn on the item in most cases.....is it not?

When was the last time the kid stood a layout Inspection, IG inspection, deployment inspection, or TA-50 inspection. What did they do- hold up and item and ask if anyone had this "doohickey"? Please.

Whoever is conducting the inspection should know what they are looking for. The pictures do help those of us that don't get inspected. Clearing my last post I spent a lot of time using Google to try to figure out what I needed to turn-in. Most of the items that I didn't remember what they were ended up being pieces to my rucksack, which was assembled when I got it from RFI.

I have a 3 page OCIE list currently and that includes some DCU stuff I can't get off. There is some confusion now because they split the entire MOLLE system piece by piece. If I were to ask you to hold up your "Sustainment pouch UCP" could you do it? Of course, being the highspeed NCO I am, I know what it is, but Joe-**** the Ragman doesn't.... The majority of it is education, and google is your friend (espcially doing a 100% property book inspection so you know what a VDR-2 is)!

I have 6 tuff boxes of kit between big Army and SOF issue. My wife has 4 big Army alone. No way we're going to know what that crap is without a sheet. I haven't even used half of it.
