I am working on a web page about the units that were stationed at Kassel Germany, and the history of the camps (Kasernes). We had troops there from 1945 to 1973. Any old timers on here that were there?

Only Unit I remember there was.C-Btry,6/562D ADA Hawk.
It was 562nd upon assignment.But the unit was traded to possibly became C-6/517.
We picked up a 517th Battery at Freidberg in exchange.
We also lost a battery at Hanau,in exchange for a Battery in Wildeflickin.
The good old days.
This was in 62-63 time frame.

Thanks for the replies. I was there late 63, through 66. I was in one of the Transportation units that moved from France to Germany.

I have a decent start on the web page that covers Rothwesten, Waldau Kaserne's, and Kassel. I am especially looking for pictures of Waldau Kaserne now from 1950-1970. Our Motor Pool was at Waldau.
