I posted this on the Marine forums but since it concerns the Army, I'm posting it here as well.
The 2 shooters part is bothersome. Generally implies a conspiracy.

DEVELOPING: A mass shooting at Ft. Hood military base in Texas has left at least 7 dead and 12 wounded, officials told Fox News.
There were two shooters in the Army base massacre in Killeen, the New York Post reported. One suspect was in custody and the other was on the loose, Fox News confirmed.
The attack apparently happened at the base's Soldier Readiness Center. Army officials didn't know whether the victims were civilians or military personnel.
The men were reportedly dressed in Army fatigues, but military officials couldn't confirm that they were Army personnel.
The base and area schools were on lockdown after the mass shooting, and all those on the Army base were asked to gather for a head count.
Prayers out

On the Fort Hood Web site, the word "closed" is posted with the statement, "Effective immediately, Fort Hood is closed. Organizations/units are instructed to execute a 100 percent accountability of all personnel."
The number of shooters involved is of special concern. Was 1, then 2 and now 3.
If this turns out to be some type of terror attack, look for THREATCONs to rise and access to Military installations be restricted.
While I was reading the story, at first it seemed like possibly disgruntled troops from the Wounded Warrior unit. But then the more I read, the less I figured I could guess. A movie theater? That's just plain terroristic.
I really hope this isn't some type of terror attack.
As I'm trying to round a coherent thought other than unbridled rage, I keep thinking of those criminals arressted a couple months ago for planning a similar attack on Ft. Dix.
The are also saying one of the gunmen is dead but 2 others are being held. That's 3 so far.
The FBI said they don't believe terrorism was involved.
In some ways, it would be more tolerable if it was terrorism. We expect that. We don't expect our own servicemen to come unglued like this. It would be a larger tragedy if this was a stress related situation.
Prayers go out to those lost or wounded today at Fort Hood. Prayers of support also to all the family members who must be losing it right now trying to find out if their loved one(s) stationed there is safe.
Please call your families if you are there and are able to.
NBC News’ Pete Williams reported that a U.S. official identified the gunman as Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan, who was 39 or 40. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, R-Texas, said military officials told her that the gunman was about to be deployed to Iraq and was “upset about it.” The Associated Press reported that Hasan was a mental health professional.
