Can someone tell me what is it like being an Officer as a Second Lieutenant after graduating from ROTC. Is there a journal or something I can read? I checked the internet including Google and msn, searching “Army officer life” or “life after ROTC.” I did not find any real info. I also checked the army website. What is daily life like? Other than having greater authority then a private or private first class, is life different?

Also if you contract for 4 years can the government forcefully extend it? Also can they call you at any time after year contract ends to forcefully deploy you.

How easy is it to find a civilian job in accounting once your complete your contract, even if during that time you did not do anything with Accounting? Perspective employers will find Military service as an officer a positive on your resume even though you weren’t doing anything related right?

If you are looking for what life is like as an Officer, you'd probably be better off looking in Army General Discussion, or on the Army board pertaining to a specific MOS. If you're looking for what life is like as an Officer's spouse, then ladies here can probably help you but you'd need to ask more specific questions.
