I have been promoted before, however I'm asking for help. I want to do this just right. where can I go to find the procedures for a proper, promotion ceremony?

What kind of "proper" ceremony are you looking for. I know that all of mine were just come into work the next day with the new rank badge and host a party at the EM club. I think for my son that just tossed him a new rank badge. Officers have to take an oath so a promotion for them is a much bigger deal than for enlisted.

Are you looking for something with family involved? That would be the only real reason that I could see for a "proper" ceremony unless making E-6 in the Army is a really big deal.
