Hello my name is Brandy hubby will be graduating Sept 18 and I was wondering will I be able to take him out for a drink after graduation? He wrote and said that he will get a 36 hr pass but if he does not have to report to Ait, which is at Ft. Lee VA, immediately will they extend his overnight pass so he can spend more time with me? I don't know if it makes a difference or not but he is Nat'l guard and his original orders before reporting to MEPS stated AIT starts Sept 22nd. And his B-day is the 19th!!! Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!! thanks

NO DRINKING ALLOWED even if he is 21 right after Basic graduation. maybe not even right away when he gets to School either.

No drinking no smoking and no driving that weekend.

could be worse..he could be at one of the Academies.. they aren't allowed to drink their entire first year.. even if they are of age.

I just got back from my wife's RTC PIR and not only did they say no drinking, driving, or smoking, but they ALSO said they weren't allowed to use personal electronic devices like cell phones. I think that meant not to let them have one to take back to base, but they didn't clarify that much. Military means lots of rules.
We found PLENTY ways to celebrate her achievements without breaking any rules, though, and so will you!

Congrats!
