i am in the navy currently in "A" school here in great lakes IL and my wife wants to leave me can anyone tell me what she will get that is mine if and when the divorce is final and is there any chance i can keep my daughter she is no where near a "good mom" and i cant lose my baby girl any help and advice would be very appreciated

What she gets depends on teh court system, it will have nothing to do with the Navy. If the court orders child support then it can be paid through an allotment. The child will continue to be a dependent and qualify for the benefits whether you are married or divorced. If you do divorce then the wife who is now the ex wife will only be allowed to use the commissary and exchange to purchase things for the child, she could have the child in the on base day care and that is about it. She will no longer be a dependent herself so she will not have medical, dental or anything else for herself.

You are going to have to be prepared not to have custody of the child. The courts normally go with the mother in most cases and with you being in the military and just starting out you can almost guarantee it. You can assigned to an overseas command where you can't have dependents unless you are E4 and above and being single with a small child would be almost impossible. You can be assigned to a ship where you are deployed so you would need a Family Care plan where someone else has custody of the child while you are gone.

Get a lawyer, set her up on an allotment, keep track of all phone calls, texting, and whatever else is necessary.

i have been gone from them since jan.5.09 and she is a really good mother just she has cought me in alot of **** and has alot of proof against me that could get me to lose my baby girl.......
