Hi and Help!
Where can we rent/borrow/use sabers for an Army wedding ceremony. Daughter & Son-in-Law are located at Ft. Hood, TX. I'm located at Ft. Detrick, MD. Need them for event on 14 Mar 08. Can anyone tell me whom I can call?

ROTC units and asking individuals.

I don't know about Army traditions but for the Navy only Officers merit the Arch.

It is my understanding that the Army is like the Navy and the arch is for Officers only. This could have changed since I last heard, but I don't think it has.

So, before trying to find out where to find them, find out if it is allowed.

It is technically only for officers, but 99% of the people in the army won't care if you do it if your enlisted. Try talking to the chaplain on post, they are usually good resources to help find them.

As for Army policy not sure since I was in the Marine Corps but every NCO and above can have a sword detail.
