ACCP courses give creedit for MOS and non MOS courses, and one can take FEMA course and get credit.

What credit do you mean? The only thing you can't do with the MOS-related education is to get promotion points for it. Other than that, you can get a Civilian Education credit for it when a college/university does an equivalency report for you Good luck! |

FEMA courses are somewhat expensive to transfer into civilian education. FCC gives an equivalency credit at a rate of $60 per credit hour. So, say, you completed 20 FEMA IS courses. You'll have to pay $1200 to get it transfered. Bad deal. |

If you are military, you can get all of your FEMA EMI courses for credit for a one time fee for under $200. Thomas Edison State gives a hella deal for military members.

Per AR 600-8-19, Para 3-46 (9), you cannot claim FEMA courses for promotion points. I know nothing about correlation between education and USAR/ARNG retirements points. |
