okay so i talked to the re up and this is the choices i am choosing out of there offer:
6 months to go to college full time 12 months stabilization Airborne School and Money but they havnt given me the exact number but around 3k. (my MOS is over strength)
I enjoy the army and dont hate it yet I have been in three years and have three more to go on my contract. The offer is for 6 more years. I plan on going warrant officer and flight so if i get picked up the carrer is the option but if i dont ger picked up i dont know if i will care to continue with it all. Odds are i should get it I was a Quilified Non Select for the last boards and am resubmitting. So what are ya'lls thought of the deal and what other things should i ask for. I am Aviation and Aviation is now Combat Arms so I have a ton more school options open up i guess as well.
daCAT is correct, plus you can get more than that. My last unit got guys all the time that had Special Ops unit in their re-up contract. That right there will get you jump school.
Here's an option for you. Get out and come home. Join the National Guard where we'll give you a $15,000 bonus for being prior service(after the budget is signed), and pay for your college. Then you can go to school full time and put your uniform on 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks in the summer.(unless you get deployed) You'll make enough from GI Bill and GI Bill kicker and your drill pay, so you won't have to worry about a job.(if you're single) Sounds pretty good.....doesn't it??
