One of the EMT instructor in Petaluma (MK2, I think he's still there) is a Paramedic. There are also a few HS that are as well. But I'm not one, you can have the adreneline thank you! HSC
I'm a BM and an EMT-P; there are different guidelines that specify what you can and can't do in the Coast Guard versus working in a Private or county organization. You can find most of that information in the manual, but from my experience it all depends on your command and your mission. At my current position in the CG I follow EMT-B protocols but I have a good working relationship with the local EMS units so I can assist them whenever needed.
