The last I heard (and this could have changed), the CG is keeping both our HS school and our IDHS school. I'm sure we will be using the San Antonio school for our xray, lab and IDC school students...

IDHS School and HS "A" School are here to stay at Training Center Petaluma. They will not be moving.
Chris you are correct about the other schools going to TX. HSC Bob Kulbeth IDHS Course Chief |

Where does this stuff come from? I am averaging 2-3 calls/emails a week from both SN on the list and HS in the field asking the same question.

Okay... I was in the Woodshed for an extended period of time. And it was a "private" joke? So I have to be an E-1 to appreciate it now?! |

A couple of things bother me here. One is that AJ is reading Fred's Place.
Another thing is that back in November of 2007, the HS-RFMC notes gave a short blurb on the Medical Education Training Center (METC) and what was happening there. I also have spoken a few times out in Petaluma about METC with you. So for AJ, the new METC is bringing together MOST of the DOD schools. The Navy's IDC and AVT Schools are not moving there and since we are not part of the DOD, our EMT, HS'A' and IDHS School is not moving there either. Those DOD Schools we have students attending will be Pharmacy, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Laboratory, Preventive Medicine and a few others in the future. Between know and 2011, those courses will be moved to METC. Currently we are working on a combined course for each, bringing together all three services (Air Force, Army and Navy) and producing new curriculums. More to follow, just watch the HS-RFMC Notes in the future. |
