Good Morning All,
Does anyone know how many students the school is currently accepting per class? I'm just trying to guage if I'm going to be able to finally go to school in August or if I'm going to have to wait for the Jan' 10 class. Thanks

You can count on 26 - 27 a class through summer of 2010.

That number includes active duty, reserve and international students.

Sir,

HQ and the Program set the amount of seats. We do leave a few (1-3) a FY for internationals. If they are not filled they are given to AD.

I honestly do not know the criteria for their selection, but I do know we have not had an international student for about a year now.

Most all A Schools (at least at Petaluma) are set up in the same fashion right now.

Thanks Chief. My tour at D7 is up Aug 4th, and i'm really counting on orders to the Aug 31st class. I'm so tired of being a non-rate.

Back when I was an ET, before I was enlightend to become a Corpsman, we had a Chief from Tunisia that went through ET school with us. I do beleive the CG gets a pretty good sum for letting the international students go through...

Thanks gents. I don't entirely think it is a bad idea but it must be a tough pill to swallow for # 28 on the list knowing that he/she needs to wait, or for the clinic down HSs waiting for grads. Chris, an ET? You might be the 1st and only ET transplant to the rate!

Good Afternoon again,

I'm getting close, number 32! I just wanted to make sure the plan was to still take atleast 27 students, (CG or other) per class. I may have mis-counted but it seemed like they only took 22 this last round. I'm technically number 29 with there being 3 holds on the list, and I may or may not squeeze in there.
If anyone in the know could put my curiosity at ease, I would really appreciate it.

Good Day

There are no changes in the #'s. Looking overall you will probably be in the Jan 10 class. However, don't lose hope. Some prospective students decide to make poor choices before arriving and lose the opportunity, thus making HQ go down the list as necessary.

Thanks Chief. I'm getting more and more anxious as I was looking at the Rating Notes, and the lack of available billets in peoplesoft. Info gathered from these two sources shows that the rate is pretty full now, and I'm afraid the list may shut down as it has in the past.

A school students do not get their available billets from people soft. They come directly from the detailer, we have never had a problem placing anyone.
