Paul-You really do need to get a life. But, I heartily commend you on your 98 and will continue to call you by your preferred name...for now.

I bet with you being an HS1 for, like, 23 years or whatever you'll bounce right to the front of the pack when final advancement lists come out. You may just make HSC within 3 months of me even though I should make it off of last year's list. I'm still not going to submit my binnacles to you on time. Razz

Jason,

I've always known you to be pleasant, extremely caring and too damned intelligent to be in the CG. Every shipmate we've had in common has said that you are one of (if not the very) best HS's they knew of. I guess for someone with a severe chip that could be interpreted as "brown nosing". I call it envy. Pay no heed to that jive turkey. Roll Eyes

Good luck to absolutely everyone (with an identity)!

Zero sends

Dex, yep going to cajun country.....can't wait to get back into the heat and humidity. I really miss that, been in the bay area far to long....to cold and too many rude folks. Good luck on the sherman, you always did like the U/W gig.

Jason,

Hey Sugar Lips!

Speaking of binnacles, I am missing yours from last week!

BTW, I can only hope that I bounce to the top of the list! I can use the pay!

Thanks for the well wishes! I can use all the good vibes I can get!

Mabey I am using the final multiple calculator incorrectly....
Where exactly are you supposed to put your raw score? It seems that whatever you put in the top box in the grey column(raw test score) doesn't matter.... the test score factor still reads 50. Now, if you put your score (a 90) in the test score factor slate (this is still under the grey column)than my final multiple jumps up to a 151. This seems to high. Otherwise, if I just enter my score in the raw test score column, nothing changes and my multiple is an atrocious 111.8 (which is probably correct). Congrats to everyone who wrote well, we'll see in a few weeks once the list comes out.

Pay no attention to negative things people may say you are all great HS's otherwise you will not be competing. Keep the faith, I wish everybody good luck.

Hi Jason Sedivy-I will never forgot those positive words you said to me and another shipmate last year when we were figuring our placement on the SWE.Now I have made it , and you will soon along with everybody else who took the HSC SWE.

Sounds like someone got their pee-pee spanked! Nice to see some familiar names around going for first or second stars. Chief Seals, I think we were in school together, I think perhaps you were one class ahead of ours. Did you graduate with a Dennis Hogan? -Jeff

Hey John, glad to see your still doing the good work of the USCG! I've been wrestling lately with the concept of "Had I stayed in, my 20 would be coming up this August)" So It's nice to see some old names such as yours from back in the day! I've kept in touch with Dennis over the years(as a matter of fact he married an old girlfriend of mine), he's a tech rep for a marine electronics company in MA. I'm a Clinical Intravenous Admixture Pharmacist, I run an IV admixture lab for a home health company. Hope all is well with you and yours! -Jeff

I just wanted to ad to this small discussion. Jeff, Johns hair is still looking good after all these years. STUFF DOES NOT MOVE! It's the Dapper Dan. Smile

Hey Dex, how's it going brother? I miss you out here at IDHS School!! Don't be a stranger.

Jeff, it sounds like you're doing well. I almost got out myself a few years back, but am glad I decided to stick it out. CG healthcare has really changed over the last couple of years and only promises to get even better.

...Do I detect a poster with hair envy? It must be Roger, my follically-challenged friend!! Big Grin

Since I'm on at the moment, I'll sound off for the Chiefs....Apology accepted. You probably have a lot of good things to offer. Step up and be recognized, although I suggest using a different ID with your real name this time.

Remember TRUE forgiveness has NO memory. We cannot say I forgive but I won't forget. Lets move on.
