I want to join the coast guard as a health services technician, but if the wait is 12-18 months, I am not sure I would want to enlist. I could wait until January or February to go out, which is fine. I keep seeing mixed answers on other sites saying that the recruiter can get you shipped out in a month or so and others saying over a year. I have 35 college credits and a score of 88 on the ASVAB.
