I surely don't wish to sound off wrongly but could find no where else to find the information online, and ran across this forum. I was prior-duty USRA 1975-1979. Disabled now at 50 years young but not due to military and merely a civilian, use to be a transport op back then though. To me this wouldn't matter, but since a few of my acquaintances are members of the Hispanic (they cqall it Latino) community locally, I had to find the information somewhere to share an accurate source. Someone has told a friend here that there are more Hispanic members in the US miltary than any other ethnic group. To me, back then or even now, it never made a matter of importance since members of the Armed Forces came from so many wide and varied origins. However, when I went to look up the statistics, I'll be durned if I couldn't find a reliable place to give them an accurate tally. To me its hard to figure because all the members are suppose to be US American, hard to say what is white or black or American Indian or even a Philipino and Samoan whom I served with back then. I am persnoally Irish-German-bit of Cherokee and a small bit of Chipewa. so how do you say who's who in the database, if there even is one. Peace time soldier or combat warrior, its not ethnic. Anyone have a good tip though on what site to go to, if there is one. Hope I didn't open a can of worms, surely isn't my intent. An honest query for a sincere reply is all to help someone misinformed maybe to grasp a broader view. Thanks in advance...Drew
