The future of the UK's search and rescue helicopter services is being reviewed by the government. An announcement is expected on changes to the roles of the Coastguard, Royal Navy and RAF crews beyond the year 2012. After seeing the sterling work that the Search and Rescue teams have done during the ongoing Civil Emergency (flooding), we need to ensure that the role remains the same to ensure the highest standards are maintained and lives are saved.
