Angry Whip I've got a new boss who is 41 years old and says he has been in the hotel business 24 years, but he also claims he is a 82nd AB Green Beret. I've checked the roster of our people and it shows a person of his name as a 94B10 (Cook) and a E-1.. How can I prover he is a liar?

82d AB doesn't have Green Beret's. Their maroon. Big Grin

You might want to post this in the USASOC - US Army Special Operations Command. They love this kinda stuff.

It's based on your number of posts. I think 200 it flips over to something else. So start posting.

i cannot think of ONE airborne soldier who would confuse the AA patch with the electric butter knife.

and there is no green beret that would confuse the maroon beret with the green one,

Just ask him where and how he got SF Qualified and got his "Green Beret". There were NO Green Berets worn in the 82d Division. There were Maroon Berets worn in the various Special Forces groups by people who were not SF Qualified. Ask him what his MOS was. SF MOS's are 18 series. If he's an "Old Timer" he's have an MOS with an S Suffix if he were enlisted (example SF Medic 18D, old style 91B4S) An officer would have a "3" prefix old style (31193 SF Qualified FA Officer or 31542 SF Qual. Inf. Officer) New style is 18A for officers and 180A for Warrant Officers.

Do the math. He's been working in hotels since he was 17. He probably dropped out of high school and enlisted but washed out in his first year.
