My name is Paul Jurgensen, I served with Bco 1/504 PIR 82nd Airborne Div. from 1989 to 1992 and I need some information. Any help would be great. OK, here goes.
While I was in the Gulf on the boarder of Iraq (just before the ground war started) a photographer came by mine and all the other Platoons in my company and took pictures. I ask the guy why he was taking pictures and he said "Historical Records" and I THINK he said that they were taking pictures of all the units. I forgot to ask were we could see this picture or get a copy of it. It would be great to have a professional, full platoon picture from the Desert. Did anyone else experience this? Does anyone know where we can get copies of these pictures? I've asked so many different military and historical websites that I don't know where else to look.
Another time just after returning from the Panama Invasion, we were all lined up outside our company area and had our pictures taken individually. We were asked out full names and then photographed. Anyone else have this done?

I have been searching for these pictures on and off for 11 years. I try for a while, get frustrated and quit, then start again a year or so later. So, please, any help anyone can give would be great. Thank you.

Have you tried the 82nd Airborne Division's Public Affairs Office?

Within PAO or another activity they have a Unit Historian listed, usually a Army Captain on the phone list somewhere, or they used to not too long ago.

Does the 82nd Airborne Division's Public Affairs Office have a website? I did a search but nothing came up.

No, but they have a phone number that you should be able to find on the 82nd Airborne's website.
