I've got a classmate who ended up with this Unit in 1969 and went into Cambodia with them. I'm trying to do a little appreciation project for him, but I don't know the first things about this group, and I don't want to ask him. Anybody know anything about them, or any place on the web where I might find out something. I've tried Google and come up with zilch. Help me out if ya can - -

Help is here.
Unfortunately, the site only gives info up through 1966. My friend was there 1969-70 and later, so if anyone has further information, it would really help. The only clear info I have is that he was in "11th Pathfinders, Section 1"... And he went into Cambodia. This message has been edited. Last edited by: greywolfghost,
Got some info and will begin the project - this thread can be recycled to the round-file . . .

Fine job Bro!
Cool beans GW!
I served with the 11th Pathfinder Co, 1st Cav from mid-68 to mid-70. It's been a long time, and the picture you posted is fuzzy. Give me your friend's name and I'll tell you what I knew about him. I welcome contact from you if we can find a way to communicate.
My brother in law also served in Viet Nam with the 11th Pathfinders of 1St Air Cav Division back in 1969-70 and was assigned to Team 1 in Tay Ninh.
He was severely wounded in January 70 and medically retired in November 70. He was called Baby San (sp?)by his buddies. He is my hero.
Cool! I should have gotten back this way, but that was two Heart Attacks ago, and I'm finally feeling halfway human again - -
