I'm in 3rd LAR....I don't know what the hell this guy you talked to was talking about. I've never once heard or been told that I could or could not say anything (except maybe about sexual harrassement before a 72 or something). As for the SNCO thing.....most of the battalion just got back from Iraq, almost no one stands at parade rest there. In a month or two after a couple of *** chewings, things will proably be back to normal. And for the CAR, did this guy mention what company he was in?

Sorry bliss he didn't say which company he was in. I wasn't trying to talk smack about you guys. I have the utmost respect for 3rd LAR. We worked with you guys (Dinaniah 03) and you guys are definately locked on and some tough SOBs. I was really glad you were on our side. So hats off to the Wolf Pack, and God bless that 25mm you guys have. Nothing against not standing to instantly when talking to a SNCO. Obviously when working or trying to accomplish something this is menial and a waste of time. He may have just been complaining for the sake of complaining. Lord knows Ive done that. Again I wasn't trying to talk trash if that's how I came off I apoligize.

No problem dude. I wasn't offended I just didn't want you to think I was talking smack. Yeah who knows what he was talking about. And sometimes things get passed down and everyone says "yeah fcking right". I remember during OIF 2 when they passed down we couldn't say "Haji" anymore. That one definately didn't get followed.
I was serious about 3rd LAR. You guys are seriously fcking bad arse. You guys are always going to some hot spot and kicking the shite out of anyone dumb enough to fck with y'all. The LAR concept is definately a good one.

HHMM don't get me wrong but I remember almost all BN humps, quite a few company humps too were always helmet, flak and a minimum 45 pound load. You'd line up drop yer ruck on the scale and if yer C**p was light god help you, you were in deep s**t. I'm sure though every Bn Co and company Co has their own way of doing things though that's for sure. One thing I did notice when I cross decked from Army to the Corps was every Light Infantry unit I saw always saw those on starboard had their weapons facing that way no matter if you were a leftie or a rightie and vice versa port side, also 60 gunners carried their 60 at the ready also was SOP for all of them that I ever saw. Marine infantry was different, guys carried in their dominant hand no matter what side of the road they were on which I thought was a hell of a lot smarter. But then again we all know why I switched branches, i got smart
