Me and my wife know a marine that is deployed in Afghanistan. We decided that we would help this marines wife get a cell phone thru our service, so that when he called we could put the number in our friends and family list. that way she could talk to him and not incur a huge cell bill. As time has passed she refuses to now pay the overages in use(not calls from her marine)but with an Army soldier. she was having an affair with. she has admitted to having this affair, also spending over $1400 on frivolous stuff. while with this soldier. any ideas ?? The Marine will be coming home from deployment next month.
File a complaint with the base PMO. Speak with a civilian lawyer on your behalf. Insure you inform his chain-of-command on insuring for the welfare of this Marine before he finds out and to get him help.
I would go straight to his unit/battalion's Family Readiness Officer (FRO). If you are not a Marine yourself then by all means jump the chain of command if you have to. Get word to this guy as quickly as you can and just pray he didn't give her the joint bank account and power of attorney. If he did, the sooner you can stop the damage the better, and he will thank you for it. They are headed for splitsville anyway so no need to tiptoe around it. He will appreciate your directness.
