Anyone worked with these Marines in NAM? Some of us worked with them as radio men. They took no **** and went as far as leveling a village when they took sniper fire. The locals hated them with a passion.

When I was still with 1/5 we were put on a hill with them about 15 miles northeast of Phu Bai. They were scattered but whenever they needed a radio operator, a marine went with them. I almost felt sorry for the enemy they captured because they tortured and beat the sh*t out of them. I guess they were not accountable to the Geneva Convention?

When they captured a woman enemy, it was all over for her. They brutalized her first then stuck a pop-flare up her yazoo and lit her up. Their Lt. came out put a bullet in her brain and chewed them out. We did not understand one word but we had the feeling that they were afraid we would squeal. Of course we did not because we were as brutal as they were!

I am beginning to think very bad of you Joe, as to whether or not you were ever in Vietnam. I saw the ROK in Chu Lai in 66, and my Bros at Hue said they were there as well, yet you never saw them?

You are the same one that questioned me on being a fraud are you not? Maybe someone should look at you a little closer!

My records do not only show a Presidential Unit citation with a Bronze star you idiot. Post what you have. You can not even read what was given to you, you idiot.

With my aopologies to the board, if I could reach out and punch this idiot's lights out, I would! Show me what you have you lying bastard!

Hey Amadeo...why don't you just email Carey and ask him for permission to furnish you with the necessary info to go to St. Louis to get a copy of his records.I got a feeling he will be glad to do that. Then, if he give you permission, etc. and it comes back he is NOT a poser, YOU get on this board and apologize for your actions, both to him, and everyone else.
At this point I personally believe him, and I also think you are way out of line..way out!
Or, you are just doing this to go on some kind of crazy power trip where you don't have to be accountable...just stirr up the crap and laugh.
If you are doing that, you are one sick dude.
Lowball
ps..if you are right about your suspicions, then brag..until then you really don't have a right to accuse

So you guys did the same thing with women you captured? Just trying to understand the last part of your statement.

Well do it then Amadeo. Put up or get off Carey's back. He doesn't need me to take his part, but it pizzzzes me off for one Marine to put down another w/o proof. So far all you have done is yell...anyone can do that. Where's the proof of your accusations.

As for myself,I watched. I don't know about the rest and did not want to know. Marines are brutal and tough fighters but we were angels compared to them.

For the record! I never saw the rape of a VC Female, and the often times that I have heard of it was usually from a guy in the rear, not in a line company! Things must have gone to hell after I left, if it is the least bit true! We were Marines not criminals!

The ROK's did not play by the rules 'specially out there in no man's land. The people were very afraid of them as well as the commies. They got the job done! I can't speak for any other Marines and if the people back in the world deemed their actions criminal all I can say, "war was and is hell!"
