Hey, I wanted to ask a question, but only Marines who have been in Iraq can answer this. With how the media portrays iraq, and everything you hear always being "Marine dead here...soldier dead here", it's hard to get a good understanding of what's really going on over there.
I wanted to ask what it really is like being over there on the ground. And also, the difference between being on the ground there now, as opposed to 2004 or 5. (if any).
...Only because the only things I hear are what I gain from the media, and people saying "oh its a mess, it's like veitnam over there." (And the only reason I posted this here and instead of wanabe section was because I figured alot more Marines would see this).
