scotty -- remember, the video was shot during a helo fly-by...kind of hard to put the engine room on camera plus, when you think about it, you saw a 4000+ton MACHINE sailing along under power. I'm sure there will be video of the engines later on...and the bridge, mess deck, boat ramp, flight ops, etc.
Senior, Just curious, some of you guys have been attached to the unit for awhile. Are you guys under normal rotations or are you awaiting the new ship? Please let me know when you can what you guys are doing. Thanks.
Chris It's kind of a hybrid situation. We know that we have to establish a "three year rotation" plan, so some of the crew will PCS this year. For example, some folks who have or will advance will most likely PCS out. We are working closely with EPM and the detailers to make sure that the best interests of the members, the ship and the CG are covered wherever possible. This is definitely not a "normal" situation. For the most part, everyone reported in for a regular tour length and will depart on schedule. If you want more specific info, contact me via global address. It's real tough to give a general answer about 120-ish different billets.
Where is the machinery? By the sound of all that distracting dramatic music you would think its the CG's first nuclear powered attack migrant interdiction cocaine carrier....dang ..
