Just checking...Is there anyone else besides me who got orders for this Cutter? And can anyone tell me about apartments in the Alameda area? Unfortunately I'm a single E6 with no dependants. If I read the website properly that mean I have to find my own housing. Any info I can get will be great. I'm sorry I put this here, but I wasn't able to create a separate forum. Thanks guys.

You can send me an e-mail. I am in global. WAESCHE currently has about 25 of your shipmates here already. I will forward your questions to their YN and CSC for them to respond directly. There are numerous housing opportunities in the Bay Area, some better than others. I recommend you don't make any firm decisions until you talk to your fellow crewmembers.

Is there any sea pay involved with the Bravo Crew billets for the WAESCHE?

I believe the way it works is that there is no sea pay until the DD250 is signed.

Just wanted to let you know that I have recieved orders to the Bravo Crew! I am excited about this new adventure. I suppose we could use this Forum for Bravo Crew unless someone else knows of another forum for us specific. Together we can probably learn alot about our ship and crew. If I can help in any way let me know. My wife and I have been doing alot of research on National Security cutters and the Alemeda area. If I have any questions I'll post them hear and maybe someone else will have an answer. I am looking forward to serving with my Bravo Shipmates on an awesome cutter.

Hey FlyinBoats...I will be meeting you soon out in Cali. I know a few people who are out there but on the 378. Can't wait to get out there and be apart of something new in the Coast Guard! If you hear any info about what or where we will be let me know and I will do the same.

So, I just recieved the kickback list from the detailer. Whats the news about the bravo crew. I am a married BM3 with zero sea time. The wife wants us to get back to the west coast, where we came from. How long is an average deployment. I also understand with the pre-comm I might get stationed in mississippi. Whats up with that? Any help would be great as I have to respond NLT the 25 of this month. Thanks in advance. Confused

I hope I can be of some help to those of you interested in the Waesche (WMSL-751). I arrived in Alameda back in June07 for Bravo Crew. Look me up in global and send me an e-mail or call the number listed in global. I'm sorry for the late reply. It's been a while since I last logged in. Hey Senior. I hope things are going well in Pascagoula. Tell your crew I said hi.....

Sounds great. We just ramped up our navigation training this past week by going to the two different simulators in our area. There is the mock-up of the NSC at Training Center Petaluma and then the Army has a ship simulator at Mare Island. We were at the simulator on Mare Island today and it was awesome. It's about as close as you can get to being u/w. It was great to get out of the office and it looks like we will be going to Mare Island on a regular basis. As for housing and a sponsor, you will receive a welcome aboard message via CGMS shortly and it will have your sponsor and housing info along with some other items.

Welcome aboard shipmate.

You can just have this one renamed since the BERTHOLF will be in special commission status here shortly.
No reason to have a precom forum any more. JUST A THOUGHT.
