Not sure if I got the right forum, but have you retirees read or heard about this? You can find the update here: PSC Retiree and Annuitant Services (RAS) Payroll System
Not sure but it sounds like a pretty good thing, once it gets off the ground. Sounds like we should be receiving a payslip for May 1st payday with instructions, and most importantly your Employee ID (EMPLID)... so don't just toss it or file it, the EMPLID will be what we use to login. Now if they ever get to finish up the CDRP backpay thing ... --Jim Life is good! |

While active duty it was nice to be able to do routine updates without having to make another trip to the YN shack.
They are very security oriented so make sure to keep your difficult to remember password somewhere safe at home and make sure to turn on the "lost password" function. Otherwise, like on-line banking, it is pretty handy to use a computer to update vice phone or mail. |

I don't think all retirees have a computer to access the internet but it sounds good for those who do,now if we could renew spouses ID card on line that would be even better.

We can all hope. Besides dependent ID cards, maybe they can issue car decals!!!..

Sadly, my bet is it will do nothing to improve service to retirees. Just my opinion.

Auto decals are a thing of the past.. The USAF doesn't even issue them any more.. Trying to get a CG decal is like pulling hens teeth.. I don't think it is worth the effort...
Went to Patrick AFB last month for ID cars, so I guess I'm all caught up for years... I agree Bill, I don't see much use for it.. but, I guess it may be for some.. just not me Wray... |

I agree, not a lot of use for it. On the other hand, if this had been online a couple years ago, I wonder if it would have helped with the CDRP backpay, since what I have been hearing is that they have to do each VA disabled retiree manually. Who knows?
It may not be much use now, but is a step in the right direction for future enhancement. As long as I get 2 deposits in my checking account on the 1st of each month, I know 2 things. 1. I'm still alive, and 2. the most important aspect of retired pay and VA disability comp still does work - direct deposit. Think we'll ever see retired pay be revamped and caught up to where we should be based on inflation. Seems like they finally got the active duty folks all set and up to par, now it's our turn. Price of regular gas up here (in Maine) is up to $3.52 ... how about where you are? How will the price of gas and heating oil affect this years cola? --Jim --Life is good! |

CRDP excuses are just like Deep Water... No wait I think I got that one wrong. Anyway I quit holding my breath and expecting something to be done about this in the near or distant future. Maybe they will eventually get their act together and stop making excuses but then again...
