Who is the leader of the republican party...George Bush or John McCain or...________(fill in the blank)?

Yes the dumb dems don't know who their leader is...but is it President Bush or John McCain in your view?

To me, Geogre Bush is the former leader of the republican party.

any takers?

The seated President is formally the head of their party.
The president doesn't actually run it though, its more of a symbolic position.
The person to actually manage or run it in a 'hands on fashion' is the Chairman of the RNC.

The same way the King or Queen of England is formally the head of the Anglican Church-
even though they never conduct a service.

ok I see your point, but how many people in the real world without googling it know the Chairman of the RNC.....let alone the DNC.

I see McCain as the new leader of the Republican party and GW Bush as the former Leader....in realistic terms......

soon to be lame duck....

Nor have AL-Qaeda , Osama ,or Muslim Extremists been great for our Values ( Got Exactly what they wanted ) ....pretty much have put a dampner on a lot of our freedoms .....the Twin Towers may not be standing anymore , you may have forgotten .... not all forgotten , we have a new Warship built from steel from the Twin Towers ready for the next round .

There will be another round ! ....you think the " Axis of Evil" is gonna stop its offensive ....one would need to check themselves .

it would seem to make sense that the seated presidant is leader of there party.

On the daily show the other night they made mention of the chairmen of the DNC is Howard Dean. So I guess if you loose your partys nomination to run for presidant you can be the chairmen of said party.

I do not see a "new blood" leader for the GOP.
McCain is doing status quo duty as I see it.

McCain is the leader of the republican party.......

That's how I see it...

Bush is out...lame duck....

I mean I LIKE John McCain...even as a Candidate...

I just wanted to see if others of the conservative persuasion thought the same way.

Haven't been any real leaders since Ronald Reagan in the Rep party, just egos markin time! As for the Dem's, they couldn't find their A** with both hands tied behind their backs. SNAFU.

Very true, Top.

The Rep party is leaderless, no matter who holds whatever title. The Rep party has lost its focus... foresaken its conservative base and values and has turned more leftward in order to try to be all things to all people...

Wait!!! "All things to all people"?? Didn't I just describe the Dems?? Maybe that's why I cannot see any difference between the two parties any longer.
