I'm a E4 in the Navy Reserve coming over to the Air Force Reserve. I'll be going to SF school in Lackland. Can anyone tell me about prior service people who attend tech schools, rules, will I have a curfew, marching, will my girlfriend be able to come visit during the week? Any information to help prepare for the long 65 days down there. Also what are the TDY rooms I'll be staying in be like? Sorry if this has already been discussed. I searched every where for answers but came up with none.

When I went through th TDY guys pretty much did whatever just showed up to class in the morning. I dont remember if they marched around with us or just met us places. No curfew and your girl should be able to come down, however there are some long days. The rooms arent terrible queen bed, tv, but you share a bathroom

Well I went to tech school not to long ago. The prior service that came over to air force just did what they wanted. As us tech schoolers that just got out basic got "sent to bed early" and couldnt leave base til they has so many blues inspections and room inspections. But anyway training wasn't so bad.

Hey Bobby!!! Congratulations on getting a slot at the Academy!(Please refrain from calling it TECH SCHOOL" [Jeeeez]} As a former Master Academic Instructor at the Academy(when it was called the USAF Security Police Academy) you will (or should) be treated as an adult. But what applies to one, applies to all. If you're a trainee, it will be a trainee without special privilege. Roll with it. But ordinarily, your nights will be your own. You WILL answer for any improprieties (drunk in public, fighting, lewd and lascivious activity, etc.) I personally trained the first Master-At-Arms for the Navy, so I thought you guys already had your own academy by now. Why are you coming to ours, unless the specialized training we now offer. It's like Bullis on steroids! Great bunch of trained professionals all over the place! Just don't expect any special privileges cause you ain't getting nun! But good luck my man! Do well and REPRESENT!

you show up for a waste of time class, you go home drink beer, get up and do it all over again. The most easy thing you'll ever do is go through SF tech school.
