I am a seaman at CAMSLANT. I will be moving to elizabeth city shortly to do my airman program then ill be going to school there as well. I am going AMT. I was just wondering how exactly the living situation works out when your in the airman program in elizabeth city? BAH? Base Housing? Barracks? Any information will help. Thanks a Bunch.
I didn't do my Airman program at E-city, but when I was at A-school, I had a friend who was in his Airman program there, so I think I can help. If you're single, like he was, you'll be in base housing with two other Airmen. The place he was in was a 3-bedroom unit, and it wasn't bad... nothing too fancy, just your typical base housing. The housing isn't actually on base. It's down the street, about a block away and also on Weeksville Road. You'll only be there for the four or so months you're in the Airman program, and once you're in school, you'll be assigned to the A-school barracks... AKA, the "round-house" or "doughnut."
