Hopefully leaving for Cape May in December, and I was wondering how long is the A-School wait for AMT? Thanks in advance.

Thank you. Since it said that AET is a critical rating, does that mean that it has a guaranteed A School?

Yes!!

AET is critical and a Guaranteed "A" School.

Talk with the recruiter about a Flight Physical.

Get that done ASAP and have the Recruiter request AET or have that Flight Physical done (Approved from Airman Program Manager) and in your records before Cape May. (Keep a copy)

It sure would be nice to know before you go in the Coast Guard that you can pass the flight physical. (AMT,AST,AET or Pilot)

You may be able to request the Flight Phy's at Cape May or the first unit.

My recruiter requested my flight physical. Most likely I'll be going down to Cape May on November 6th to take it.
