Long story short....I originally came in the CG 3 years ago to be an AMT. i failed the flight physical in bootcamp becasue of my vision and ultimately became a YN3. I definetly want to stay in but if i do i want to do what i came in to do. So my question is...does anybody have any idea how fast i would be able to get the vision correction surgery via the CG if they knew i was going for an aviation rate? Any information or advice would help.

Depends on where you are located and which medical facility will be doing the procedure and how long the waiting list is. I think at the longest if you put your name on the list now, assuming you are a good candidate for the procedure would be 9 months. Make sure you get PRK, it's the only one authorized for aviation.
