I not female, but yes there are female mp's. As for the training you learn to become a soilder then you learn law enforcment. To get a greater knowledge of what you will go through look at other posts, log onto th USAMPS website, or do a google search. Good Luck!

Involves sitting at a desk at the head of the classroom watching all the malcontents who didn't turn in their homework, were late for class or otherwise misbehaved. Watch out for spit-balls!

MP is the closest thing most females will ever get to actually being combat arms. If you ask enough people on this particular thread, you find out that most of them have been in combat. MP really stands for Multi-Purpose.

Detention OPS are what we refer to when we really mean to say : Enemy Prisoner of War, Civilian Internees (insurgents), and criminals. All MPs come into contact with this at some time in their career. It sucks, but that is the way it is.

Korea, especially up north in 2 ID area, there isn't that many female Soldiers so the few that are there have not much problem dating.

JB, that has got to be the most sensitive, delicate phrasing I have ever heard to explain that particular axiom! LOL!

I'm sure you'll do fine. The training is not as difficult as it once was, and the location isn't as hot as it used to be when the MP school was at FT. McClellan.

My unit has quite a few female MP's. And we are not an L&O unit. We are strictly combat support. They did an excellent job in Iraq and are very professional by all army standards.

I would have no problem following a female MP into combat as long as she did her job as any other soldier would.

Well, I am a female MP and be prepared to pack your own weight! I just finished my MP school in California (I was reclassed). Hold your own ground and do your job and you'll do fine. I joined cuz it's the closest to infantry as I could get. I'm happy with it though. Just remember to soldier up and work hard!!!
