My situation is that first I was a 19 kilo then finished my enlistment and went to an air guard unit as law enforcement, I finished my term in the SF it was fun at first but the last couple of months sucked. I am looking at going back into the army reserves as an MP does anyone have any info about AIT my unit has given me the choice of going to AIT. My questions are would I be able to drive my POV and how long is the course I understand its OSUT would I have to start of at the first week of the basic part or do the last 8 weeks? If I did drive my POV is it recommended that I arrive a day or to early and report or will they have me doing some detail work? by the way I how are prior service treated at AIT ? any advice will be appreciated.
You would be inserted into OSUT during the AIT phase. I am not sure about having a POV because the AIT isn't that long. Prior service are always housed separate from IET Soldiers and are treated as permanent party Soldiers.
